I trust you are still in good health. In your last letter you mentioned the study of human interaction and the place of a tree in the world. I must say I was greatly intrigued. I have often puzzled over the human-tree interaction and have yet to reach a conclusion. Perhaps you could shed some light on the subject.
Please tell me, is it more useful to sing songs in the spring, or to provide a silent shade? There are several humans in the village who pass by me in the most distraught manner and I am never quite sure how to comfort them. Their griefs are heavy indeed, and I only wish I could help to lighten the load.
